Google Profile Manager Adds Social Links

Google now lets businesses add a link from their business profile to their social media accounts:

Google has recently introduced a new feature allowing businesses to add links to their social media accounts from their Google Business profile.

This new feature allows companies to advertise their social media presence in conjunction with other key information in Google Search and Google Maps.

By making these social media links available on their Google Business Profile, companies can give customers more ways to connect, access information and get answers to their questions.

Google Support

A new Google support page gives details on how to control which social media links are displayed on their Google Business Profile. Businesses can now add a single link per social media platform to their Business Profile.

Supported Social Media sites include Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, X and YouTube. The feature is being rolled out with a phased approach starting in specific locations.

Feature Use

To add a link to a Google Business Profile, simply access the profile, click ‘Edit Profile’, ‘Business Information’ and then ‘Contact’. You can select the social media application you wish to link to under ‘Social profiles’ by adding the relevant web address.
