LinkedIn - New Features

LinkedIn is implementing a range of new features that will apply specifically to business pages.  These new features can help you highlight your brand and its offerings and enable you to take advantage of advanced publishing and community building features.

Let’s take a deeper dive into these new capabilities and see how they can improve your Linkedin marketing strategy.

Scheduled Posts
The first change lets you schedule posts to your business page up to 12 weeks in advance.  This way you’ll be able to streamline your posting process and ensure a steady stream of interactions with your network.

This feature is available on the desktop version now and will be coming to the mobile application shortly.

Audio Events

Linkedin is launching live, audio-only discussions so that you no longer have to use an external application to host an audio event.

This type of event is a more flexible, informal approach to events that can generate good audience connections and set your company up as an industry leader in its space. Audience members can interact with the discussion through text chat and also request to contribute to the conversation if they wish.

Automatic Job Posting

For those organizations with less than 1,000 employees, Linkedin can now offer a feature that will post jobs automatically.

Once this feature is enabled, the application will automatically share one open position every day as a pre-scheduled post.  These posts can then be edited after they are shared if you wish.

Following a Page as a Page

With this update, Linkedin Pages can now follow other Pages.  This will make it much easier for you to join a conversation related to your area of interest with a feed dedicated to the content from the business you are following.

This will enable businesses to work together as they share new ideas and build a broader network of professionals.

Summary

These new features for business pages give you several new opportunities to share content, build your network, attract new employees and stay up to date with the latest industry news in your field.
